
Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School (AJMLS) is pleased to recognize Kenneth French, Class of 2018, in his new role as Associate Director for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In this position, Mr. French oversees the operations for the SEC’s Atlanta Regional Office and leads the region’s examinations program covering Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Prior to joining the SEC, French spent eighteen years in the investment management industry. He served as Vice President and Senior Legal Counsel at T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc.. Before that, he worked as Compliance Manager at Invesco Advisers, Inc.. He began his career at LPL Financial, where he held multiple roles across Operations, Trading, and Compliance divisions.
French’s academic journey began with a B.S. in Business Administration from Winston-Salem State University. He went on to earn an MBA from Gardner-Webb University, and later graduated with a J.D. from AJMLS in 2018.
Reflecting on his education at AJMLS, French stated:

With his new appointment at the SEC, Kenneth French adds to a growing list of AJMLS alumni making significant contributions in law, regulation, and public service. The law school community congratulates him on this achievement and looks forward to the impact of his work across the southeast region.
