Career Highlights
Emma Wylly worked as a practicing lawyer for seven years before joining the faculty of AJMLS. Emma began her legal career as a litigation associate at Latham & Watkins LLP in New York, where she focused primarily on complex commercial litigation. Then, Emma served as in-house compliance counsel for Strategic Value Partners, LLC, a private equity firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and Bachelor of Arts, with High Distinction, from the University of Virginia.
Publications
Professor Wylly’s research focuses on compliance and regulatory issues facing investment management firms and financial institutions. Her research is informed by her practical experience serving as compliance counsel for a mid-sized private equity firm before joining the AJMLS faculty.
