Career Highlights
Professor Prout joins AJMLS after 20 years practicing law. After being a partner at a boutique Atlanta firm practicing complex commercial litigation, Professor Prout joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia to become a federal prosecutor. As an Assistant United States Attorney, she investigated and prosecuted narcotics and dangerous drug conspiracies involving multinational drug cartels, she brought multi-million-dollar complex fraud prosecutions to trial, and finally she worked as the Chief of the Training section where she prepared new prosecutors for federal criminal prosecution. She has tried numerous jury trials and argued cases before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
