Criminal Justice Honors Program Information Session

January 30, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Are you interested in pursuing a career in criminal law?

You are invited to attend our Criminal Justice Honors Program Information Session on Saturday, January 30, 2016. The session will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Blackburn Conference Center. You will experience multiple panel discussions featuring current students and faculty, and also have the opportunity to screen and participate in a discussion of Gideon’s Army Documentary after lunch.

To attend, please RSVP via the form at the bottom of the page.

Here are the three facts you need to know about our specialized Criminal Justice Honors J.D. Program:

1. The program is led and designed by Professor Jonathan Rapping-
2014 MacArthur Genius Fellow and Founder of Gideon’s Promise. Serving as the former Training Director of the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, the first Training Director for Georgia’s public defender system, and the Director of Training and Recruitment for the Orleans Public Defenders post-Katrina– Professor Rapping equips honors program graduates to shape the criminal justice system.

2. The practical curriculum creates capable practitioners-
A problem-based teaching method is used to ensure that Criminal Justice Honors students gain valuable knowledge while studying the core curriculum and graduate practice-ready. This integrated and applied approach to teaching ensures our students receive a well-rounded and practical educational experience.

3. The low student-to-faculty ratio allows students to be mentored-
With a combined total of over 75 years of practical experience in the field, our faculty members are well-connected to the criminal law community both locally and nationally.

The Office of Admissions is receiving applications and awarding merit scholarships for the fall program. Scores from the June LSAT administration will be considered if applicable.
