The American Incarceration System: Incarceration the American Way

The Public Interest Law Society (“PILS”) will host a panel titled, The American Incarceration System: Incarceration the American Way on Monday, November 7th at 4:30 p.m. in the Blackburn Conference Center Auditorium. Join PILS for an in depth discussion that will include topics such as the school to prison pipeline, mass incarceration, and racial disparities within the incarceration system.

Panel members include Simone N. Hylton, Fulton County Chief Senior Assistant District Attorney; Professor Kathleen Burch, Interim In-House Counsel ACLU of Georgia; Judge Willie Lovett, Jr., Fulton County Juvenile Court; Brian Galther, DeKalb County Assistant Solicitor General; and Professor B. Michael Mears, Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.
