The Office of Development and Alumni Relations at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School (AJMLS) proudly hosts a Mass Swearing-In Ceremony today, Friday, October 17, 2025, celebrating the accomplishments of alumni who recently passed the Georgia Bar Exam.
During the ceremony, 40 AJMLS alumni are officially sworn into the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the Fulton County Superior Court. The event marks a momentous milestone in each graduate’s journey from law student to practicing attorney.
The alumni are honored to be sworn in by distinguished members of the Georgia judiciary, including Justice John J. Ellington of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Presiding Judge Brian M. Rickman of the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and Chief Judge Ural D. Glanville of the Superior Court of Fulton County.
The program also features remarks from several members of the AJMLS community: Dean Martin L. Ellin delivers the welcome address; Dean Scot Goins, Associate Dean of Academic Achievement and Bar Success, offers congratulatory remarks; Shilpa Jadwani, President of the AJMLS Alumni Association Board, shares greetings on behalf of the Alumni Association; and AJ Doucett, Director of Alumni Relations, provides the closing remarks.
Following the ceremony, alumni, family members, faculty, and friends gather for a celebratory reception on campus to honor the new attorneys and commemorate this important professional achievement.
