Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School (AJMLS) proudly celebrates Kevin Ross, Vice-Chairman of the AJMLS Board of Directors, on his induction into the Gate City Bar Association Hall of Fame at the organization’s 2025 Gala.
Mr. Ross was recognized for his decades of leadership, excellence, and service to both the legal profession and the broader community. A member of the Georgia Bar since 1980, Mr. Ross began his career with Long, Aldridge & Norman; Hurt, Richardson, Garner, Todd & Cadenhead; and Hunton & Williams before founding his own firm in 2002. Throughout his distinguished career, he has represented clients in civil litigation, commercial arbitration, and local government law, serving as general counsel to major Atlanta entities including the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority during the development of the Olympic Stadium, Turner Field, and Philips Arena, and WABE, Atlanta’s public radio and television stations.
A longtime advocate for expanding access and representation within the legal profession, Mr. Ross served as President of the Gate City Bar Association in 1985, leading efforts to promote the appointment of minority attorneys to judicial positions. His extensive public service includes leadership roles on the City of Atlanta Charter Review Commission, the Fulton County Housing Authority, and numerous nonprofit boards. He has also contributed to legal education as the Donald L. Hollowell Professor of Law at Emory University School of Law, where he taught Civil Rights and Election Law.
Mr. Ross’ induction into the Hall of Fame stands as a meaningful recognition of his lifelong commitment to justice, education, and civic leadership. He joins an esteemed group of honorees that includes AJMLS Dean Martin L. Ellin, also a member of the Gate City Bar Hall of Fame.
AJMLS congratulates Mr. Ross on this well-deserved honor and thanks him for his continued leadership and dedication to the law school and the Atlanta legal community.
