We are happy to announce that Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School now has an official Facebook page. If you are unfamiliar with Facebook, it is a social networking internet site with over 120 million users worldwide. The purpose of our Facebook page is to connect the entire JMLS community including current students, alumni, faculty, administration, and prospective students. There is a Forum set up for current students, one for alumni, and another for prospective students to post comments and share their stories. We have also added various photo albums, notes from the Deans and Admissions, as well as a list of upcoming events. This site is not meant to replace our current website but rather provide an additional avenue into the law school community.
If you already have a Facebook page, and would like to become a “fan” of our site, either click here: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/Atlanta-GA/Atlantas-John-Marshall-Law-School/34985428066 or search us from the search tab in the upper right corner of your Facebook page.
If you would like to view our page without becoming a member, click on the above link and view it with Mozilla Firefox. Internet Explorer does not seem to allow you to view the page without becoming a member first.
If you do not have a facebook page and would like to be a part of this online community, please visit www.facebook.com and follow the simple instructions on setting up a page. If you choose to set up a page, we suggest reviewing the security options to determine who can view your page before posting it. Otherwise, everyone in the community will be able to view what you have posted. If you plan to use Facebook to network with your own friends and family, we suggest creating both a personal and a professional page. This would require using two different email addresses and setting up two separate pages.
As a reminder, this is a professional site and should be used appropriately. We ask that you do not post any profanity or inappropriate photos on the site. The site will be monitored; however, we ask that you report any inappropriate content that we may have missed. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Roderick Jackson, IT Director at firstname.lastname@example.org. Otherwise, we will see you on Facebook!
