DESCRIPTION:The Office of Career Services and Professional Development enthusiastically presents and invites your participation in a virtual Legal Hiring program to further inform you about the current legal market and effective job searching on Friday\, September 11th at 11:00 AM. The program will include Legal Recruiters and Attorneys who will address major legal hiring topics and also answer your questions about legal hiring and career development. Topics of conversation will include:\n\n\nWhich practice areas currently have the most demand\nThe primary skill sets and qualities employers seek when they make hiring decisions\nThe interview process\nHow to most effectively go about your job search\nThe impact of the current pandemic on legal hiring and the job search\nManaging your career development during law school\n\nWe encourage you to spend an hour with us\, learning from and engaging with the experts about your path to success as you begin your legal career. The program is sure to be informative for all students\, so please join us\, whether you are a first year student or a graduating student.\n\nRegistration for the Program\n\nIn order to register for the program\, please access the online Career Services management system\, 12Twenty and utilize the “Events” feature in your profile. Instructions for use of 12Twenty are found here. Once you have logged in to your account\, navigate to the “Events” tab on the left side of your profile. Once you have opened the “Events” tab\, you will see the program headline. Please access the program and sign up so that we can provide you instructions for attending the program virtually on September 11th.
