| Before joining the John Marshall Law School faculty in 2004, Professor Jewel practiced commercial litigation in New York City at the law firm of Wachtel & Masyr, LLP. During her four years of practice, Professor Jewel litigated complex contract, corporate, construction, bankruptcy and intellectual property cases in State and Federal Court. In practice, Professor Jewel had direct responsibility for numerous cases and oversaw every aspect of the litigation, including the initial client interview, pretrial discovery, the trial stage, appellate review, and settlement. During law school, Professor Jewel served as the Senior Notes and Comments Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. |
