After graduation from law school, Professor Pinder was awarded a clinical teaching fellowship at the Georgetown University Law Center's Street Law Clinic; upon completion of the fellowship, Professor Pinder spent the next two years teaching legal writing at the University of Texas School of Law. She was later a program attorney at the U.S. Department of Education, where she provided legal counsel to a number of elementary and secondary school grant programs. Professor Pinder joined the John Marshall Law School faculty in 2006.
