The Sarah and Michael Salomon Prize

The Sarah and Michael Salomon Prize was first awarded during the 2007-08 academic year to recognize academic excellence in the first year class. The Prize is awarded to the top 15 full-time students based on class rank after the spring semester of their first year. The Prize is also awarded to the top 3 part-time students based on class rank after their first full academic year (fall, spring and summer semesters) has been completed.

The Prize equals one year of tuition (30 credit hours at the credit hour rate the year the Prize is awarded) and may be allocated as the student chooses over their remaining legal education at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School as long as they remain in the top quarter of their respective class. Students whose rank drops below the top quarter of their class will forfeit any unused funds and no monies from the Prize will be refunded to the student.

Students are notified by letter from the Dean of the Law School that they have earned the Salomon Prize and coordinate the award of the Prize with the Director of Financial Aid.
