Career Highlights

Certified by the American Bar Association and the National Association of Counsel for Children as a Child Welfare Law Specialist. Currently serve as Juvenile Court Judge in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit, Fulton County, Georgia. Previously, twenty-five years of practical legal and managerial experience which included managing the Fulton County Office of the Child Attorney, a government office of eighteen attorneys, four investigators, four administrators and two social workers with a budget of $2.3 million. Experience also includes ten years of litigation management in the Office of the County Attorney which featured the defense of governmental officials in trials and appeals in Georgia’s trial and appellate courts as well as the U.S. District Court and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Hands-on experience includes lead counsel in trial and oral argument in the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Additional experience includes work in several law firms and the City of Atlanta’s law department. Proven to be a strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to formulate and successfully executive complex litigation strategies and corporate business plans. Outstanding record for problem-solving and building and leading teams.
