The Alumni Office in conjunction with the Career Development Office invites you to attend the 2012 Solo Practitioner Boot Camp.
The boot camp, which will be held from 1-5 p.m. on November 1, 2012 at the Blackburn Conference Center, will be moderated by AJMLS Adjunct Professors Joseph Rosen and Marty Ellin. Training topics will include setting up and managing your law practice; client development; skill development; technology and communications; pro bono opportunities; and more. The program will also include two solo practitioner panels, and guest speaker, Alvaron A. Arauz of Growth Management Consulting. There will also be a vendor resource table to provide participants more information about various services and products available to assist solo practitioners.
After the event, we encourage participants to join us at the Artmore Hotel, located a short distance from the conference center at the corner of W. Peachtree and 15th Streets, for a networking opportunity with alumni, students, vendors, and other legal professionals.
It is free to attend the boot camp, however, if participants would like to receive CLE credit (3.4 CLE hours, including 1.0 Professionalism hour – credit applied for), a $45 fee will apply. Dean Richardson Lynn cordially invites Savannah area alumni of Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School to join him at the 2013 Savannah Alumni Luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Leoci’s Trattoria restaurant. The John Marshall Alumni Board meeting will be held from noon to 2 p.m., on March 28, 2013 at the Blackburn Conference Center. Our Alumni Board has grown to near capacity, and it is always a pleasure welcoming them to our school. We look forward to their continued support and dedication to our community.

The Atlanta’s John Marshall Alumni Association invites you to join Dean Lynn at the Second Annual Deans on the Green AJMLS Golf Tournament at the North Fulton Golf Course, 216 West Wieuca Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30342, on Friday, October 25th, 2013, starting with a grilled lunch with Dean Lynn at 12:00 P.M.
The tournament will be a SHOTGUN FOUR-PERSON SCRAMBLE TOURNAMENT. The cost of the tournament is $65.00 per player ($25.00 for students) and includes your greens fee, cart fee, a sleeve of balls and lunch with Dean Lynn.

The Alumni Office will hold a mass swearing in ceremony for the July 2013 bar exam passers and any other AJMLS alumni who would like to be sworn into the Court of Appeals or Supreme Court of Georgia. We will be honored by Justice Carol Hunstein of the Supreme Court and Judge T. Jackson Bedford of the Fulton County Superior Court. There will also be a representative from the Court of Appeals.
The ceremony will be held at 5:00 p.m. on November 13, 2013 at the G. Alan Blackburn Conference Center. After the ceremony there will be a reception with light hors d’oeuvres. Please plan to arrive at 4:00 p.m. to arrange the necessary paperwork.
In order to be sworn in to any or all of the courts, you must have ALL checks and paperwork into the Alumni Office no later than Tuesday, October 29, 2013.
Superior Court – For admission to the Superior Court, the Alumni Office will need the Original Certificate you receive from Bar Admissions.
Georgia Supreme Court – For the attorney admission form for the Supreme Court, please go to: http://www.gasupreme.us/admissions/ and complete the application. AJMLS will provide the sponsoring attorneys so please leave that portion blank. The cost to be sworn into the GA Supreme Court is $30 and must be paid through the website. Please attach a copy of your PayPal receipt with your application.
Court of Appeals – For the attorney admission form for the Court of Appeals, please go to: http://www.gaappeals.us/admission.php. The cost to be sworn into the Court of Appeals is $30 and checks are to be made payable to the Clerk of the Court of Appeals. Please send in your check and application to the Alumni Office.
Parking will be available in the AJMLS parking deck and other local decks.
