Work under the supervision of Legal Counsel coordinating with business units regarding legal, compliance, risk management and quality control concerns. Work with sales, legal and compliance to prepare policies and procedures for use with outside vendors and mortgage partners. Assist in quality control targeted reviews of loan files and random corporate audits. Conduct research regarding real estate and mortgage regulations and preparation of legal memos. Draft and negotiate a variety of contracts ranging from basic lead generation to complex software contracts. Work with outside counsel regarding title claims, legal opinions and litigation matters. Partner with business units regarding identification of legal issues and resolution. Work as part of a team for internal and fraud investigations.
