Currently, the Alumni Association raises money for two funds: The John Marshall Law School Alumni Association Annual Fund, and the John Marshall Law School Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund. Both funds were created to further the Association's stated mission to benefit the Law School and its students.
Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is essentially the Association's operating fund, intended to subsidize special events and other alumni projects, such as The Advocate and State Bar receptions. The Annual Fund Drive kicks off each Fall with a solicitation letter to all alumni.
Endowed Scholarship Fund
This fund was created to provide scholarship money in the future for qualifying students. Interest from the fund will be used to pay for tuition, books, and other expenses. Scholarship money enriches the school by allowing John Marshall Law School to be more competitive in the admissions process. With the continuing generous support of our alumni, the Association expects this fund to increase significantly in the next few years
John Marshall Law School Alumni Association is a section 501(c) (3) not for profit organization, created to benefit the Law School and its students. All contributions to the Association are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
