WE INVITE ALL ALUMNI to utilize the Law Library and its collections. The circulation desk maintains a daily sign-in sheet for Alumni and visitors who use the Law Library.

The following Public Services librarians will assist you with any special requests that might require the use of study rooms and the books and resources held in the JMLS Reserve Room collection. If they can be of assistance, their contact information is as follows:

Alumni Access
The Law Library is available for both legal study and legal research during all open hours. For information regarding JMLS library hours, please call the Law Library at 404-872-3593 ext. 118, or go to www.johnmarshall.edu/library/hours. A collection of practitioner-oriented treatises is located in the Library's Reserve Area.

Alumni Westlaw Terminal
An Alumni Westlaw Terminal is available for Alumni use and is located in the library, on the 4th floor, near the Circulation Desk. For assistance with the Alumni Westlaw Terminal, please ask to speak with any of the JMLS librarians.

Computer Services
JMLS Alumni have access to computers in the Library’s 4th Floor Computer Lab.  Food and drink are not permitted in the Computer Lab or Law Library.

Assistance with Research & Library Collections
JMLS librarians are happy to assist Alumni with research and are available to provide research tips during all open hours. Reference privileges are also available, except for interlibrary loan services.

Books & Other Print Materials
For Law Library holdings, Alumni may perform a search in the online catalog and use the call number found in the book's record to retrieve from the library's book shelves.  Procedures for borrowing, returning, and renewing books are found at the Circulation Desk. Interlibrary loan service is not available.

Law School Memorabilia
The Law Library maintains an archive of older law school memorabilia, including yearbooks, catalogs and graduation programs. The Law Library is actively searching for and collecting materials and memorabilia for all years prior to 2000. Thus, any gifts of JMLS memorabilia or duplications of JMLS memorabilia, from before 2000, would be greatly appreciated.

Photocopying
A photocopy machine is located in the public services area on the 4th floor. Copies are $0.08 per impression. For payment, only Copy Keys are accepted. For your convenience, a Copy Key may be borrowed at the Circulation Desk and you may place money on the borrowed Copy Key to cover your copying expenses.

Study/Research Space: Carrels
The Carrels in the Library are available to everyone on a first come basis. Unoccupied Carrels may be used by anyone unless a notice is posted. Additional seating is available at tables throughout the Law Library.

Bar Exam Study
Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School’s Library is the best place to study for any bar exam! The library often adjusts its hours during the weeks preceding the February and July Georgia Bar Exams to accommodate Alumni taking these Exams.

Tours
Upon request, librarians will conduct a library tour for all interested Alumni.  Alumni may instead, however, choose to follow the Self-Guided Tour, which is available at the Circulation Desk on the 4th floor.
