John Marshall Law Journal is published biannually, each Fall and Spring, and provides analysis on pertinent areas of the law relevant to Georgia’s legal community. In the Articles section, the Journal publishes articles written by law professors, members of the judiciary, and practitioners. These authors respond to legislation or recent court rulings or suggest action to remedy an area of question or concern in the law. The Notes and Comments section includes student-authored commentaries focusing on legislative reform or notes analyzing and critiquing recent court decisions. Finally, the Journal’s Legislative section compiles summaries of legislative initiatives recently introduced into the Georgia Legislature related to the topic of the Journal. Staff members track these legislative initiatives from their inception and, after consulting with the sponsoring legislators, present an objective rationale for the legislation in order to benefit the state’s legislators and legal community.
To date, the John Marshall Law Journal has published three volumes and is currently preparing a fourth.
