John Marshall Law Journal invites article submissions from law professors, members of the judiciary, and practitioners.  Although the Fall issue constitutes a general subject-matter publication, the Journal’s Spring issue focuses on a single, timely area of Georgia law.  Therefore, Spring issue submissions must address the selected topic and focus primarily on Georgia law to be considered for publication.

Effective immediately, the Journal is accepting article submissions for Volume 4, Issue 1 to be published Fall 2010 and Volume 4, Issue 2 to be published Spring 2011.  The Spring issue will focus exclusively on Family Law in Georgia and provide an in-depth discussion of the legal issues facing practitioners, judges, and legislators.

The Journal is provided to both judges and legislators in Georgia.  As such, articles discussing matters of judicial consideration or legislative action in Georgia are of particular interest to the Journal.

Method of Submission
Submissions may be emailed in Microsoft Word format to: articleseditor@johnmarshall.edu.
You will be immediately notified via e-mail when your submission is received. Please include a separate abstract of no more than 500 words with your submission. You may submit an abstract before submitting your completed article, and we will contact you promptly regarding interest in your article.

Requirements for Submission
Articles submitted to the John Marshall Law Journal should be within 40 to 50 pages long. The articles must focus on the particular volume’s selected area of Georgia law to be considered for publication in that volume. All citations must be in footnotes and must conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (18th ed. 2005).

We suggest you include a cover letter and resume with your submission. Please insert the letter and resume at the beginning of the document you intend to submit.
