About the JOHN MARSHALL LAW JOURNAL

John Marshall Law Journal is a student-produced, legal periodical published annually. The Journal provides commentary on a single, timely area of Georgia Law. The Journal is directed at our state’s law makers and is intended to be a helpful tool to Georgia’s legal community. Each year, the Journal seeks to serve as a forum for expressing different author viewpoints on a given topic.

The mission of John Marshall Law Journal is to serve as an informative resource to the Georgia legal community by focusing each issue of the Journal on a single, timely area of Georgia law. Each issue will act as a symposium, including an examination of recent and pending legislation, significant court decisions, commentary by students, and contributions by preeminent Georgian scholars and practitioners. It is the goal of the Journal to promote excellence in the writing, research, and analytical skills of its members.

The John Marshall Law Journal is comprised of three main sections: Articles, Notes and Comments, and Legislation. These sections work cooperatively to implement the goals of the Journal and to create, edit and publish the annual volume of the Journal.
