VI. Awards and Recognitions
*Annual Recognitions In the spring, all students who participated in the pro bono program will be invited to a pizza party or other celebration. Students who volunteered at least 75 hours will receive Pro Bono Distinction recognition. NOTE: IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THIS OR ANY PRO BONO RECOGNITION, AT LEAST 50% OF YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS MUST BE LEGAL AND PROVIDE ASSITANCE TO PERSONS OF LIMTIED MEANS.
*Graduation
- Graduating students may receive the "Excellence in Pro Bono Service" award if they are in the top 10% of their class for total pro bono hours accumulated during their law school career. Students will be recognized in the graduation program.
- The Dean's Award for Pro Bono Service. The student with the highest overall pro bono hours will receive the JMLS Commitment to Pro Bono Award.
