SBA Officers Election
It is now time to elect SBA Executive Officers for the 2012-2013 academic year! This month, the SBA will hold nominations and elections for the following positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.  The following is a timeline for the election process:

• April 14-21, 2012: Elections.  Students will be able to vote for their favorite candidates on OrgSync.  The election period will end on April 21st at 5 p.m.  To vote, please go to the SBA's OrgSync Page and click "Communication".  You will then click "Polls" and select the officer of your choice.  The results will be announced by Sunday, April 22, 2012.

Peer Academic Advising
AJMLS is excited to provide full-time and part-time students with an Academic Peer Advisor who can assist you with your academic related questions!  They can also answer any questions you have regarding academic policy, registration, scheduling, accommodations, and calculating GPA.  The updated office hours through the end of the Spring 2012 semester are:

• Monday – 4 p.m.-6 p.m., Room 203A
• Tuesday -11 a.m.-1 p.m., Room 203A
• Wednesday – 3 p.m.-5 p.m., Room 203A
• Thursday – 3 p.m.-5 p.m., Room 203A
• Friday – 4 p.m.-6 p.m., Room 203A

OSS is Collecting Peer Mentor/ Mentee Evaluation Forms Now!
The Office of Student Services would like feedback on this year's Peer Mentor Program from all peer mentors and mentees!  The Peer Mentor Evaluation Form and the Peer Mentee Evaluation Form are available on the Student Services OrgSync page, under "Files". We encourage all mentors and mentees to complete an evaluation form and email it to Mrs. Stennis at mstennis@johnmarshall.edu, or submit a hardcopy to the Office of Student Services. We look forward to your feedback on the 2011-2012 Peer Mentor Program!

Mandatory Professionalism Program Series for 1L Students
For all 1L’s who missed one or more of the mandatory professionalism programs for the 2011-2012 academic year, you must contact Dean Harrison immediately at sharrison@johnmarshall.edu.

SBA to Host 2012 Barristers' Ball at the Georgia Aquarium
The Barristers' Ball is an annual, school-wide event hosted by the Student Bar Association at most law schools. The students, faculty, staff and alumni at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School (AJMLS) look forward to this event every year, and this year is no exception! The 2012 Barristers’ Ball will be 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the GEORGIA AQUARIUM’S OCEANS BALLROOM, 225 Baker St., NW, Atlanta, GA, 30313.

Interested students, faculty, staff and alumni can purchase their tickets online! The price for AJMLS students, faculty and staff is $21 and $26 for AJMLS alumni and guests. This event will include free food, catered by Wolf Gang Puck, dancing, an open bar (beer and wine only), free professional photographs taken by an on-site photographer, access to an on-site photo booth, and a night of fun!
