ADMISSIONS CRITERIA
Candidates for the LL.M. in Employment Law must a have a law degree from an accredited institution and have an academic background reflecting an ability to perform graduate level work.
The Director of the LL.M. program will review applications using criteria set by the Dean and by the Faculty Graduate Legal Education Committee.
A candidate will be granted admission to the LL.M. program if his or her application reflects a high likelihood that the candidate will be successful in the program.
Candidates who have not been admitted to the bar may be eligible for admission if their professional background includes experience in a related field, such as human resources.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Applications will not be considered until all materials are received. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

Apply offline by downloading an application here. Submit your application by mail, email or fax to LL.M. Admissions at the address below.
- Submit the non-refundable application fee of $100 with your application. Click here to submit payment. Please note that a minimum number of students is required to form a cohort. In the event that the cohort minimum is not met, the entry date may be deferred to the next semester.
- Request official transcripts from all law schools attended. Transcripts should be sent by those law schools directly to LL.M. Admissions at the address below.
- Request two letters of recommendation, at least one of which should be a professional recommendation. You must provide a cover sheet for your recommenders. Download cover sheets here.
OPTIONAL APPLICATION MATERIALS
You may submit any other information that may strengthen your case for admission, including transcripts from other colleges or universities attended, and professional papers delivered or published.
How to Apply for Need-Based Scholarships
If you wish to Apply for Need-Based Scholarships, please download the Scholarship Application and return it to the LL.M. Admissions Office at the address below. Please note that your Scholarship Application cannot be considered until you have submitted a completed application for the LL.M. in Employment Law.
