All 1Ls (and part-time 2Ls) are invited to participate in th e facilitated study groups offered for each 1L doctrinal course: Contracts \, Civil Procedure\, Property and Torts. Professors in nearly every 1L cou rse work with an assigned upper-class Study Group Facilitator by providing hypothetical questions and direction through the professor’s selected mat erial.

Successful students use Study Groups to formulate well-reas oned questions for office hours. These Study Groups provide an opportunity to gain insight into a professor’s expectations\, to work collectively wi th your colleagues to develop and reinforce areas of understanding\, as we ll as to identify gaps in knowledge before the exam.
